Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use SystemH in cross-platform products or embedded devices?

Yes. SystemH is designed from the ground up for write-once, run-anywhere deployment across Windows, Linux, embedded microcontrollers (ESP32), and the web (WebAssembly). As long as your organization meets the Small Business threshold or holds a commercial license, you may distribute compiled binaries, firmware, or applications containing SystemH.

What happens if our company revenue surpasses $1,000,000?

Under the PolyForm Small Business License, the free license grant automatically terminates when total gross revenue across all affiliates reaches $1M. Transitioning to a commercial license is straightforward—reach out to us at info@systemh.org to maintain uninterrupted commercial deployment rights.

What are the attribution requirements?

You must ensure that redistributions of source code retain the original copyright notice and license text. In binary distributions, include the PolyForm notice and attribution in your documentation or software acknowledgments.

Are patents covered?

Yes. Section 5 of the license grants you a patent license to make, use, sell, and import software using SystemH, provided no patent litigation is initiated against the licensors.
